Hi! My name is Lisa, and I’m studying abroad in Rome, Italy this fall semester! I can’t wait to leave and embark on an awesome European adventure. I live in Houston, Texas, but go to school on the east coast. I am in my junior year at Loyola College in Maryland. While in Italy, I will be taking two intensive Italian courses as well as a theology and an English course. In my study abroad program, we don’t just have classes in our school classrooms, but we will be meeting all over Rome, in museums, cathedrals, and at monuments in order to enhance our learning experience. Currently, I’m preparing to leave by packing and getting things in order. I’ve been taking care of all sorts of matters such as copying important documents and itineraries for my parents, calling my bank to find out information on financial transactions while I’m abroad, making sure I have electrical adapters and converters, buying a gift for my host family, and making a packing checklist so that I’m ready when I depart in a week. There’s so much to do, and I don’t want to forget anything! Well, I better get back to my preparations, but check my blog later to see what I’m up to! Ciao!
