Hey its a beautiful day!
So I've been hanging out enjoying Indian food at my friend's house, hearing Afrikaans with some other friends, and Zulu with others. I feel like I'm traveling the world all in one place. And though Durban is a huge city, it feels like a small town already; everyone knows so many people. So many connections. Sometimes the world really is such a small place. It's amazing here, where else does a monkey try to climb in the window of your lecture? Um, yeah I thought so :) I'm learning SO much. Got to hang out with a friend this weekend and go to her family's ancestoral prayer (she's Hindu, it was cool!), wear a sari and laugh like crazy. Saw another friend in a play, theater seems to be such a great outlet to deal with the negative legacies of an apartheid government. So bravo for that! Wow, so much to do, so much fun! South Africa has so much to teach us, so many dynamics. Much, much more later, but for now I'm loving life. Joel, you're gonna love India, the Indian culture is AMAZING! And Jason, I had a marmite sandwich last night at an Afrikaner's house, tried the stuff? Ick. Haha, back to dancing and drumming in music ensemble, catch you all later! Got questions, ask!
